Labor and Regulatory Policy Committee

The Labor and Regulatory Policy Committee addresses legal, legislative and regulatory issues related to labor and the financial operations of trucking companies.  Issues within the committee’s jurisdiction include:  independent contractor classification, workers’ compensation, ergonomics, insurance and risk management, driver shortage, tort reform, transportation contract matters, transportation brokers, cargo liability, and multi-employer pension plan reform. The Committee receives support from the National Accounting & Finance Council and the Safety and Loss Prevention Council for research, analysis and policy development.
