ITLC 2009 Annual Conference Wrap-up
The Information Technology & Logistics Council Annual Conference, held August 10-13, 2009 at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida tackled the tough issues facing the trucking industry today.
ITLC Tech Teams launched at the August conference, beginning the important work of meeting motor carrier demands for speed, accuracy, and flexibility in IT and logistics services; ensure that adopted technologies are truly integrative; and help eliminate the information float that so often hinders the planning and operation of motor carriers and shippers alike.
Streamlining the flow of freight, information, and funds between motor carriers, shippers, and consignees creates great advantages in supply chain management. “The development of industry best practices to meet these challenges is paramount”, says ITLC chair Doug Olson of Schneider Logistics. “That’s why we are thrilled that the ITLC has launched four Tech Teams that will more effectively represent carrier interests on IT, logistics, and supply chain issues”.
The four ITLC Tech Teams are:
- Architecture
- Applications
- Hardware and Infrastructure
- Integration, Communication and Business Process
Contact ITLC at 703.838.1718 to get involved in the work of these teams.
Thanks to our motor carrier and supplier partners for their support of this important conference.
