2010 Excellence in Security Award
Schneider National, Inc.

The Excellence in Security Award recognizes THE motor carrier that has excelled at protecting personnel, truck and freight and that has surpassed all others in securing its company’s and customer’s assets. The company that wins the Excellence in Security Award is a company that has evaluated the risk, implemented the programs, applied the tools, trained the personnel and managed the systems and processes that successfully minimized theft and violence. The winner must be a company that constantly evaluates and improves its security measures, personnel training and experience records, and as a result, insures future prevention and recovery. Judging is based on the Entry and Exhibit submitted by the company. The award is presented during the Council's annual Supply Chain Security Conference & Exhibition.
  

2008 Security Professional of the Year Award
Richard Martin, Corporate Director of Security, Knight Transportation, Inc.

The Security Professional of the Year Award program recognizes the trucking security professional who has demonstrated the ability to design, implement and manage a successful security program entailing both traditional threats to personnel, truck and cargo and the modern trials of terrorism and violence. The winner’s record evidences outstanding performance in the area of security.  Judging is based on the Nomination Guidelines submitted by the individual. The award is presented during the Security Council's annual Trucking Security & Law Enforcement Conference & Exhibition. 
   

2010 SCS&LPC Leadership Award
Richard Martin,  Corporat Director of Security, Knight Transportation, Inc.

The Council’s Leadership Award recognizes one individual annually who – among all others – provided the leadership, direction and support necessary to strengthen and grow the Council.

Past winners include:  Geoff Stephany, Old Dominion Freight Line; William Downey, The Kenan Advantage Group; Curtis J. Shewchuk, Con-way Freight; Brian Shutt, ABF Freight System, Inc.; and Richard Germer, UPS Supply Chain Logistics.

 

2010 Cargo Theft Prevention Distinguished Service Award
Lt. Commander John Antillon, California Highway Patrol

Detective William Morales, Miami-Dade Police Department

 

The Cargo Theft Prevention Distinguished Service Award honors those individuals and agencies within law enforcement who/which have gone above and beyond to serve and protect the trucking industry.
