ARLINGTON, Va. – Dave Williams, region fleet manager for Verizon Fleet Operations, Vahalla, N.Y., was presented TMC’s Peggy Fisher Study Group Leadership Award during TMC’s 2008 Annual Meeting in Orlando, Fla., Feb. 4-7.

The award, last given eight years ago, is named for its first recipient and has only been awarded 10 times since its inception in 1986. It was established to honor excellence in management of TMC Study Group activity for Study Group chairman that has served with distinguished service and respect of peers for at least three years in establishing TMC Recommended Practices and providing outstanding organization of technical programs.

Williams, a TMC member since 1996, has served as chairman of the S.14 Light- & Medium-Duty Trucks Study Group since 2000. He has often served as Task Force chairman, developing a number of relevant Recommend Practices for light- and medium-duty truck users. Williams received TMC’s Silver Spark Award, the council's highest honor, in 2007.
