Robbin Itkin is a Partner in the Century City office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where she is a member of the Business Solutions Department and leads the West Coast restructuring group and the expansion of the Business & Financial Restructuring Group nationally.

Robbin represents debtors, creditors, and creditors’, equity and bondholders’ committees, purchasers and trustees in corporate restructurings and bankruptcies in a wide variety of industries, including entertainment, real estate, retail, transportation, and hospitality, and advises high profile individuals and corporations in out-of-court workouts and financial transactions.

Robbin is listed as: One of the Top 50 Southern California Women Attorneys in the February 2009 and February 2008 issues of Los Angeles Magazine; one of the Top Attorneys in Business Services in the July/August 2009 issue of Super Lawyers – Corporate Counsel Edition; one of the Southern California Super Lawyers in the February 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006 and 2005 issues of Los Angeles Magazine. Katherine Piper is an Associate in the Century City office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where she is a member of the Business & Financial Restructuring Group. She has extensive experience representing corporate clients nationally and internationally in all aspects of out-of-court workouts and Chapter 11 restructurings. On the transactional side, Ms. Piper has a broad range of experience, including advising debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, purchasers and trustees with respect to restructuring planning, distressed sales and acquisitions, corporate governance, contract interpretation, and negotiating and preparing plans of reorganization or liquidation, and debtor-in-possession financings. Ms. Piper’s litigation experience includes successfully defending her clients’ various interests in numerous contested matters and adversary proceedings including contract disputes, claims objections and contested debtor-in-possession financings.

Both Robbin and Katherine most recently have been actively involved in the Chrysler bankruptcy case on behalf of the largest unsecured creditor where payment in full of the client's claim was accomplished.
