Allen Boyd, Wal-Mart Transportation

Allen Boyd has been a professional truck driver for over 29 years and has accumulated over 2.5 million accident-free miles. He is an over-the-road driver for Wal-Mart Transportation.

Several days each month, Allen speaks to the news media, schools, community groups, and industry and government officials about highway safety and the essentiality of the trucking industry.

Allen was named Wal-Mart Transportation’s Driver of the Year in 2007 for the Mt. Crawford Distribution Center. He was a member of the Wal-Mart Road Team from 2007-2010 and has received the company’s 500,000 Accident-Free Miles Award. Allen is a Driver Trainer and serves on the Wal-Mart Accident Review and Driver Planning Committees. He also serves as a Store Ambassador. Allen has 18 years experience pulling oversize loads. He is active in the Boy Scouts and the Cove Lions Club and is a PA Deputy Wildlife Conservation Officer for the PA Game Commission.

Allen lives with his wife, Sandy, in Woodbury, Pa. They have two children.
