Kenny Lowry, Wal-Mart Transportation

Kenny Lowry has been a professional truck driver for 34 years and has accumulated over 3 million accident-free miles. He is an over-the-road driver for Wal-Mart Transportation.

Several days each month, Kenny speaks to the news media, schools, community groups, and industry and government officials about highway safety and the essentiality of the trucking industry.

Kenny has placed first in his division at the South Carolina Truck Driving Championships three times. He went on to place third at the National Truck Driving Championships in 1993. The South Carolina Trucking Association named Kenny the Driver of the Month for August 2008. He has served on the Accident Review Board for Wal-Mart Transportation and has been a member of the South Carolina Road Team since 2007. Kenny enjoys skeet and trap shooting, as well as spending time with his family.

Kenny lives with his wife, Denise, in Greenville, S.C. They have two children and a granddaughter.
