Nate McCarty, ABF Freight System

Nate McCarty has been a professional truck driver for 18 years and has accumulated over 1.4 million accident-free miles. He is an over-the-road driver for ABF Freight System.

Several days each month, Nate speaks to the news media, schools, community groups, and industry and government officials about highway safety and the essentiality of the trucking industry.

Nate is a member of the 2010-2011 ABF Road Team and has earned his 13 Year and 5 Year Safe Driving Awards. He has placed first in his division in the Wyoming Truck Driving Championships five times. Nate received the Highest Written Test Score fives times and was named Wyoming Grand Champion in 2006. He spent eight years in the Colorado Army National Guard and served in Operation Desert Storm.

Nate lives with his wife, Tiffany, in Greeley, Colo. They have two sons.
