Roger Nicholson, UPS Freight

Roger Nicholson has been a professional truck driver for 32 years and has accumulated nearly 4 million accident-free miles. He is an over-the-road driver for UPS Freight.

Several days each month, Roger speaks to the news media, schools, community groups, and industry and government officials about highway safety and the essentiality of the trucking industry.

Roger won first place in his division at the Georgia Truck Driving Championships in 2010 and 2011. He also won first place at the 2007 Florida Truck Driving Championships. He was named Rookie of the Year at the West Virginia Truck Driving Championships in 2005. Roger has received his 5, 10, 15, and 30 Year Safe Driving Awards, as well as his 1 Million, 2 Million, 3 Million, and 4 Million Safe Driving Patches. Roger has been a member of the Florida Road Team, Georgia Road Team, and the UPS Freight Road Team. He was involved in West Virginia wrestling and was a Head Coach for 7 years.

Roger lives in Kingsland, Ga. and has two children.
