Jeffery Thompson, FedEx Freight
Jeffery Thompson has been a professional truck driver for 37 years and has accumulated 3.7 million accident-free miles. He is a linehaul driver for FedEx Freight.
Several days each month, Jeffery speaks to the news media, schools, community groups, and industry and government officials about highway safety and the essentiality of the trucking industry.
Jeffery placed first in the three-axle division of the Kansas Truck Driving Championship in 2006 and 2007. He earned the title of Grand Champion at the state level in both of those years. He has also received the 23 year Safe Driver Award at FedEx Freight. Jeffery is a member of the 2008-2009 Kansas State Road Team.
Jeffery and his wife, Marva, reside in Olathe, Kan. They have 3 children. |
