Brooks Washburn FedEx Freight

Brooks Washburn has been a professional truck driver for over 32 years and has accumulated over 3.2 million accident-free miles. He is a longhaul driver for FedEx Freight.

Several days each month, Brooks speaks to the news media, schools, community groups, and industry and government officials about highway safety and the essentiality of the trucking industry.

Brooks placed first in his division at the New Mexico Truck Driving Championships three times. He also had two second place finishes and three third place finishes. At the National Truck Driving Championships in 2007, he placed second in the 5-Axle division. Brooks has received the following honors: Million Mile Safe Driving Award, New Mexico Driver of the Month, and FedEx President’s Safety Team. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping.

Brooks lives with his wife, Mary, in Rio Rancho, N.M. They have one son and one grandchild
