Kent Durant, Con-way Freight
 Kent Durant has been a professional truck driver for 22 years and has accumulated almost 1 million accident-free miles. He is a line-haul driver for Con-way Freight.
Several days each month, Kent speaks to the news media, schools, community groups and industry and government officials about highway safety and the essentiality of the trucking industry.
Kent has placed first in the Kansas State Truck Driving Championships in 2008, 2007, and 2006. He has also competed in the Roadway Professional Freight Handler Competition, winning first place in 2002 and the Pre-Trip Inspection Award in 2003. Kent has been a member of the Roadway Road Team since 2001 and served on the Kansas Road Team for two years. In addition, he served on the CVSA Truck Inspection Team from 2002-2004. Kent has been both a Hazmat and a Smith System Instructor for the past six years.
Kent and his wife, Danetta, reside in Cheney, Kan., with their three children.
