Richard Alford

Richard Alford has been a professional truck driver for 29 years and has accumulated 2.6 million accident-free miles. He is a local driver for ABF Freight System

Several days each month, Richard speaks to the news media, schools, community groups and industry and government officials about highway safety and the essentiality of the trucking industry.

Richard has placed first in the Kentucky State Truck Driving Championships four times. He was named Kentucky Driver of the Year in 2005 and was recently commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel. Richard is a member of the ABF Freight System Corporate Road Team, as well as the Kentucky Road Team.

He is a member of the Trucker Buddy (www.truckerbuddy.org) program.

Richard and his wife, Teresa, reside in Louisville, Ky.
