Bill Burton, Formerly with Jevic Transportation
Bill Burton has been a professional truck driver for 23 years and has accumulated 2.6 million accident-free miles. He is a long-haul driver for Jevic Transportation.

Several days each month, he speaks to the news media, schools, community groups and industry and government officials about highway safety and the essentiality of the trucking industry

Bill placed first in the tanker division of the Jevic Truck Driving Championships in 2005 and 2006. He was named Road Driver of the Month in 1999 and has received the following honors: 2005 SCS Transportation Chairman’s Award of Excellence, Jevic’s One Million Mile Safe Driver Award, and Jevic’s Nine Year Safe Driving Certificate of Recognition. Bill is also a Senior Driver Instructor for Jevic and a contributing writer to their company newsletter, “The Road Pro.”

He is a member of the Trucker Buddy (www.truckerbuddy.org) program.

Bill and his wife, Deborah, reside in Kentland, Ind. They have six children and six grandchildren.
